Mt. Zion Baptist Church has been the backbone of its community in Madison, WI for decades, but is now looking to create a space for community members to learn, grow, and celebrate together. Their vision is to build the Mt. Zion Community Life Center, an addition to their sanctuary featuring a suite of classrooms, new office space for the church, a smaller personal chapel, a permanent home for their food pantry, and a multi-purpose space for athletics and performances. I was the lead designer on this building and wanted to design a space to fit the church's current needs as its community grows.
Currently in the fundraising stage, this project hopes to break ground in the next 4-5 years.
